Welcome to our first issue of VCFamilia. This is currently slated to be biweekly to keep you in the know with everything going on in the Latinx community!

  • Black history is Latinx history. We are partnering with HBCUvc to highlight the AfroLatinx experience in VC. I'm sure you've seen that they are generally erased from the narrative.   • Alejandro Guerrero became General Partner of Act One Ventures, a LA-based firm focused on B2B SaaS.

  • Congratulations to Kate Hernandez for becoming Partner at Detroit Venture Partners!

  • VamosVentures is one of 40 funds to receive a portion of the $150 million Bank of America committed to supporting to minority entrepreneurs and diverse fund managers, further expanding their impact in the Latinx community.

On June 2, Bank of America made a $1 billion, four-year commitment to advance racial equality and economic opportunity, of which $200 million was allocated to support Black, Hispanic-Latino, other under-represented minority and women entrepreneurs...

  • Lolita Taub and Cheryl Campos from The Community Fund announced their investment into Dame's $4M round through WWD!

  • Latina Venture Students (LVS) is building the first student community for Latinas in venture capital. The goal is to catapult more Latinas into investing careers to further diversify the startup ecosystem and improve business outcomes. Congratulations Ashley Aydin!
