“Patient Capital, Impatient Mindset” - FamiliaFund

A new founder archetype is emerging in the post-AI world: someone who doesn't need permission to build and has no time to waste. When prototyping costs fall 90% in a year, the advantage stops being capital and becomes domain expertise. The moat is knowing an industry from the inside.

We see five economic forces converging at once, and certain communities sit at the intersection of all of them. Those are the founders we back, through a Recoverable SAFE designed to come back and go out again to the next founder. Every dollar recycles into future founders.

That is the whole point. The capital keeps working, and the sovereignty of it stays with the community it serves, not with us.

Patient, because generational wealth takes more than a decade. Impatient, because these founders are already building.

Founders to Watch - Felipe Gatica Vargas 🇨🇱

Felipe founded Blue Bite Biotech in late 2023. Bluebite uses enzymes to break down PET plastic and rebuild it clean, handling contaminated, mixed materials that current recycling can't, and targeting price parity with virgin plastic instead of settling for lower-quality recycled PET. AI runs through the whole process, from enzyme design to plant monitoring.

Felipe graduated from START Global accelerator in Switzerland, relocated to the US, won a major European pitch competition, raised $230K, built an in-house bioreactor, and landed a Top 100 spot in Leading Cities AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge. A patent is expected by September 2026.

The lesson: you don't need a PhD to solve a hard problem, you need to build.

Community ask 💬 : Bluebite opens its seed round ($7M–$10M) in September 2026. Felipe's looking for warm intros to angels/investors in supply chain, chemicals, or biotech, plus mentors in climate and climate policy.

If you’re building on AI, you know how fast token spend can get messy: usage spikes, bills show up late, and no one’s totally sure which model, team, or workflow drove the cost. Ramp gives founders real-time visibility into AI spend across vendors, models, teams, and individuals — plus anomaly alerts before a surprise bill hits.

Founders are using it to:

  • Catch runaway token spend before it eats runway

  • Compare model costs and switch to cheaper options when performance doesn’t justify the price

  • Show investors and see yourselves how efficiently the team is using AI to drive output
