We are excited to share that our recent WhatsApp launch has brought together 330 members and counting! If you haven't already, be sure to join your geographic group. A quick reminder: only VCs can be part of the VCFamilia WhatsApp group, while founders can join the FounderFamilia WhatsApp group. We’re working through a backlog of requests and are eager to confirm memberships as soon as possible. 💪 Monadd CEO Wins InvestHer Competition 💪

Join us in congratulating FounderFamilia member and CEO of Monadd Jessica Mendoza for winning in the Fintech, Blockchain, Crypto category at the Global Pitch Competition at the InvestHer Summit 2024! Despite not being able to attend in person, Jessica thanked the incredible judging panel via video, including representatives from Adasina Social Capital, Scroobious, Tarasis Enterprises, The SMEChain Ventures, Imperia Global, MEDEVICE Capital, AwakenAngels, and the Global InvestHer community.

💸 Entidad Receives Major Grant Award 💸

Huge congratulations to FounderFamilia member and Co-founder and CEO of Entidad, Jesus Torres, for receiving a major grant award from their new philanthropic collaborative, Trust for Civic Life! The organization recently launched its investments in locally-led initiatives throughout rural America, and Entidad is among Trust for Civic Life’s first grantees. This grant will empower Entidad to expand its impactful work, providing crucial support to farm workers and other underserved communities.

🌱 Nemi Snacks PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Program Finalist 🌱

Congratulations to FounderFamilia member and Founder of Nemi Snacks Regina Trillo for having been selected as one of the eight finalists for this year’s PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Program: Juntos Crecemos Edition! This prestigious program will provide personalized mentorship to accelerate the growth of her business over the next five months.

Regina and her fellow finalists will have the incredible opportunity to learn and grow with the guidance of industry experts. Later this year, one high-potential business will be awarded an additional $100,000 to further propel its success!

🎓 Nino Cavenecia Graduates from LBAN Accelerator 🎓

We are overjoyed to celebrate FounderFamilia member and SwiftCX CEO Nino Cavenecia's incredible journey and his recent graduation from the prestigious LBAN/Latino Business Action Network's Accelerator program, taught at Stanford by esteemed Stanford professors.

Nino's path has been a testament to resilience and determination. Growing up, he struggled in school, feeling out of place and often discouraged by his teachers. But he never let those challenges define him. Starting as a Customer Service agent in the tech industry, Nino quickly proved his capabilities, rising to manage a team of 15 agents within six months. 👏

Despite his professional successes, Nino carried a sense of inadequacy for not having a college degree and often felt the absence of Latino representation in tech. But his introduction to FounderFamilia and LBAN changed everything. Participating in the LBAN Accelerator program, surrounded by fellow Latino founders and tech enthusiasts, gave him the community and validation he had always yearned for.

Nino’s story is a powerful reminder that perseverance and passion can overcome any obstacle. We are immensely proud of Nino and excited to see what the future holds for him. Join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved milestone and celebrating the strength and spirit of our community! ❤️
