Over the past few weeks, we’ve been gearing up for a summer filled with opportunities to bring our community together. Our efforts supporting the Latine community were recently recognized by Telemundo through a feature highlighting the need for better representation among women and Latinas in STEM. Congratulations to 9 of our amazing FounderFamilia members for being accepted into LBAN/Latino Business Action Network's Business Scaling Program at Stanford University! LBAN's foundational research on Latino entrepreneurship is critical for the ecosystem and its Business Scaling program at Stanford provides culturally-authentic support for Latino entrepreneurs. We are proud of our continued partnership with LBAN and excited to collaborate more this year.

Gearing up for this phase of growth, we’re thrilled to welcome Renata Aráuz-DeStefano, Julian Fainzaig and Elias Davis to the VCFamilia Advisory Board! 🎉

As part of the VCF Advisory Board, they will spearhead programming focused on unlocking opportunities for VCs of Latino or Hispanic heritage, organize and host VCFamilia events, help foster relationships with mission-aligned partners and more. With them on board, we are excited to uplevel our programming this year including our biggest Hispanic Heritage Month celebration yet!

Venture Forward LP Office Hours

Venture Forward will hold its ninth LP Office Hours program in New York (LPOH 9), sponsored by GV, Cooley, and Mercury.

LPOH 9 will provide 25 emerging fund managers from backgrounds underrepresented in venture capital with an opportunity to hold candid conversations with limited partners (LPs), experienced general partners (GPs), and industry advisors about fundraising, managing the GP-LP relationship, and managing a VC fund.

SoGal Black Founder Startup Grant

SoGal Foundation has teamed up with Winky Lux, bluemercury, twelveNYC, Twilio, Walmart.org’s Center for Racial Equity and other sponsors to provide $10K and $5K cash grants to Black women or nonbinary entrepreneurs.

Awardees will also receive tactical help navigating the fundraising environment to enable a more equitable opportunity at scaling the next billion dollar idea.
